Pink Floyd – Atom Heart Mother
My gosh. The first song on here is amazing. Coming in at just under 24 minutes, the “Atom Heart Mother Suite” is an epic masterpiece of chanting, sound bytes, nothingness, and everything. This is only my second listening to this album that I remember, so I must have matured musically a lot since 7th grade.
It seems to me like what would have happened if Magical Mystery Tour was actually good.
Then somehow I remember “If,” a short interlude that is great. The rest of the album is decent, but the first two songs – so fun.
